The Planning Fallacy - Article on Project Times by Rich Butkevic, PMP, CSM

I have an article published at Project Times about the planning fallacy and how understanding and avoiding it can help with your project estimates.  Check it out below: https://www.projecttimes.com/articles/avoiding-the-planning-fallacy-improving-your-project-estimates.html

Rich Butkevic, a little bit about me and what I do.

I'm Rich Butkevic and I'm a project manager that thinks many PMO's have gotten WAY off course and have forgotten that the entire point of project governance is to deliver projects and bring value to the organization.  It's not to create more templates or insist that team members spend time and effort on PMO mandated processes when the need for the process or deliverable isn't defined. I run the website at Project Zendo and do my best to foster a more essentialist approach to project management rather than what I describe as a "relentless attempt to perfect the inconsequential". If you're interested in knowing more about my experience and the details contained in my resume, you can check out my personal website at https://richbutkevic.com .
